Healing Together with evidence-based therapies

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Rooted in extensive clinical research, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) builds psychological flexibility by teaching you to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings instead of exhausting yourself trying to eliminate them. During a session, we utilize mindfulness techniques and experiential exercises to help you "unhook" from unhelpful narratives and clearly identify the core values that give your life meaning. This process prioritizes "committed action," where we collaborate to set concrete goals that empower you to move toward a rich, purposeful life, even in the presence of painful emotions.

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical hypnosis is a scientifically supported therapeutic tool that induces a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, effectively bridging the gap between your conscious and unconscious mind. During a session, we use guided imagery and specific verbal cues to help you enter a natural, receptive state where you remain fully in control while we bypass internal resistance to address deep-seated issues. This process allows us to implant powerful, positive suggestions that reframe limiting beliefs, directly helping to decrease anxiety and increase confidence as mentioned in our specific treatment focus.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Proven effective by extensive research, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented treatment that helps you identify and reshape the negative thought patterns that influence your emotions and behaviors. During our sessions, we work collaboratively to set a clear agenda, allowing us to actively practice evidence-based coping skills that you can immediately apply to real-life situations. This process empowers you to become your own therapist over time, using practical exercises to build long-term resilience and emotional well-being.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a rigorously researched, humanistic approach rooted in attachment theory that helps you recognize that emotional disconnection—rather than conflict itself—is often the root of relationship distress. During our sessions, we slow down the conversation to track the negative interaction cycles or "dances" that trap you, helping you identify the softer, vulnerable emotions hiding beneath reactive behaviors like anger or withdrawal. This process allows you to restructure these interactions in a safe environment, fostering a secure bond where you can openly express your needs and restore a deep sense of connection.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Backed by extensive research, EMDR is a structured, trauma-informed therapy that enables your brain to heal from the symptoms of emotional distress, much like your body recovers from a physical injury. During the process, we use bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements or tapping—to activate your brain’s natural information processing system, allowing you to reprocess traumatic memories without needing to verbally relive every painful detail. In a typical session, you will briefly focus on a specific memory while simultaneously engaging in this dual attention stimulus, a method proven to rapidly reduce emotional intensity and help you integrate empowering new insights.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based model that views your mind not as a single unit, but as a collection of distinct parts—such as protective managers or wounded exiles—that are all led by your core, compassionate Self. During a session, we use a non-pathologizing approach to help you separate or "unblend" from these reactive parts, engaging them in a respectful internal dialogue to understand their protective intentions rather than fighting them. This process fosters Self-leadership, empowering you to heal deep-seated emotional wounds and restore harmony to your internal system by releasing the burdens your parts have been carrying.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, evidence-based counseling style that strengthens your personal motivation and commitment to a specific goal by helping you explore and resolve your feelings of ambivalence. During a session, we move away from the traditional "expert" role and instead use a partnership approach, utilizing reflective listening and open-ended questions to help you voice your own arguments for change rather than imposing advice. This process respects your autonomy and helps you resolve the internal conflict of feeling "stuck," empowering you to make sustainable changes driven by your own values and desires.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is an evidence-based modality that utilizes play, a child's natural language, to help them express thoughts and feelings that are often too difficult or complex to articulate with words alone.

During a session, we welcome the child into a specially equipped playroom filled with selected therapeutic toys—such as sand trays, art supplies, and miniatures—where they lead the play while the therapist actively facilitates a safe environment for expression. This process allows children to "play out" their inner conflicts and traumas at a safe psychological distance, effectively helping them learn adaptive behaviors, regulate emotions, and gain mastery over their difficulties.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a future-focused, evidence-based approach that concentrates on constructing immediate solutions and harnessing your existing strengths rather than analyzing past problems. During our sessions, we utilize specific techniques like the "miracle question" to help you envision your ideal life and "scaling questions" to identify the resources you already possess to get there. This collaborative process emphasizes brevity and action, empowering you to leave every appointment with small, manageable steps that move you closer to your specific goals.
