Alexis Rosen holds a Master’s degree in Psychological Counseling with a focus in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami and is currently working towards her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She practices from a cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral orientation, and she is certified in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Erica Cadavid received her undergraduate and Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Maya Saleh graduated from Florida International University, with her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She pursued her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami (UM). While almost completing her doctorate at UM, Maya paused her studies to care for her own children with health issues. She plans to return to her doctoral work in the fall of 2025. Maya has over 20 years of experience working with children (3+), families, and adults across the lifespan. She adopts trauma informed, client-centered, and culturally conscious modalities of counseling, as well as interests in play therapy. Throughout her academic and professional career, Maya has provided support to children, mothers with depression, and families in various settings, including Broward County Public Schools, Broward Health Hospital District, and PACE Center for Girls. She is dedicated to serving members of our community to help them lead a more fulfilling and hopeful life guided by her patience, understanding, and personal and professional experiences.

Stephanie Ycasa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 2019 and her Master’s degree in Social Work, with a focus on Mental Health and Trauma, from the University of Denver in 2023. Stephanie has over 8 years working with children, adolescents, and their families within school and clinical settings. Stephanie is fluent in both English and Spanish. In session, Stephanie uses a multifaceted therapeutic skillset that includes evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client. She integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address cognitive distortions and enhance emotional regulation. Stephanie also uses play therapy techniques to create a safe space for expression, mindfulness practices to promote self-awareness and relaxation, and Motivational Interviewing to enhance motivation and goal-setting. Greg Mullen is a lifetime resident of Florida, who grew up in Boca Raton. When you call The Lux Center of Counseling and Education, Greg will answer the phone.
He serves as the link between our center, the community, and our clinicians. He helps orient clients with the organization and provides them with information to help them navigate the behavioral health system. He'll guide you through the sign up process and answer your questions. If he doesn't know the answer, he will call you back with it or connect you with the right information!
