Maya Saleh graduated from Florida International University, with her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She pursued her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami (UM). While almost completing her doctorate at UM, Maya paused her studies to care for her own children with health issues. She plans to return to her doctoral work in the fall of 2025. Maya has over 20 years of experience working with children (3+), families, and adults across the lifespan. She adopts trauma informed, client-centered, and culturally conscious modalities of counseling, as well as interests in play therapy. Throughout her academic and professional career, Maya has provided support to children, mothers with depression, and families in various settings, including Broward County Public Schools, Broward Health Hospital District, and PACE Center for Girls. She is dedicated to serving members of our community to help them lead a more fulfilling and hopeful life guided by her patience, understanding, and personal and professional experiences.
