Dr. Alexis Rosen holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern

University (APA-accredited program) as well as a master’s degree in Psychological

Counseling with a focus in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami.

Through various practica and internships, Dr. Rosen gained extensive clinical

experience and specialized training to provide psychological services for clients of all

ages and diverse backgrounds. Most recently, she completed a predoctoral internship at

University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. There, she provided neuropsychological

assessments to individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions and

psychological support in oncology and rehabilitation settings. Prior to this, her

knowledge and skills were shaped by a variety of settings, including Cleveland Clinic

Florida, Faulk Center for Counseling, Mount Sinai Intensive Outpatient & Partial

Hospitalization Inpatient Behavioral Health Units, and the Institute for Individual and

Family Counseling. She practices evidence-based approaches, including cognitive

behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical

behavior therapy (DBT), and is certified in eye movement desensitization and

reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She has experience supporting individuals (ages 7+)

from diverse backgrounds through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life

stressors, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family difficulties,

career concerns, grief and loss, and health-related changes. She values creating a

compassionate, collaborative, and individualized therapeutic experience, and adapts

treatment to meet each client’s unique needs, learning styles, and ways of processing,

including for individuals with neurodiverse backgrounds or experiencing cognitive

changes. Dr. Rosen is not accepting new clients at this time.
