Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses bilateral stimulation to change negative cognitions into positive cognitions and to reduce disturbances in your body caused by little or big traumatic events.
EMDR is a systematic protocol to help your brain reprocess these events. The result is feeling better, using an evidence-based healing method.
The Lux Center of Counseling and Education is now offering EMDR Intensive Therapy sessions, lasting 2 - 4 hours for up to 10 days.
The cost is $200 per hour, with half of the total cost due when signing consent forms and the other half due the morning of your intensive therapy session.
EMDR Intensive Therapy is an effective way to reprocess these traumatic events. Rather than meeting weekly for one hour, the client and therapist meet for consecutive hours and days, applying the EMDR system.
